Alec Richerson

On October 16th 2005 we had a race here at D Track. We offered a few bike classes and this was our final for the Quad Attack series. There was only one 250cc bike here, that was Nick Howard. Some how Nick and Alec had gotten together and decided they'd like to run against each other. Normally I would have said no to running a bike and quad together but this time I said, why not. I'm very glad they talked me into it, it was one of the most exciting races any of us had ever seen. Some were thinking that a talented guy like Nick would have no problem with a guy on a quad. Well one person that knew better, was YFZ 450 mounted Alec Richerson.

When you see Alec on the track you'd never believe he's only been riding for 3 years!

(Travis) How long have you been racing?
(Alec) Riding for 3 years.

(Travis) Where was your first race/ how'd it go?
(Alec) It was at D Track in 2003. It went great, I won! ^{(Travis) Tell
us about your most memorable race?
(Alec) That would have to be the one I just ran, against Nick Howard on a 250 bike.}

^{(Travis) Yea that would be one of the most memorable
for many of us that witnessed that. You blew us all away. Great job!}

Travis: Throughout your racing career what is your
biggest accomplishment.

(Alec) At the 2005 ATV nationals at Daniel Boones I finished 13th in the 4 stroke B class.

(Travis) How did you get into racing?

(Alec) I blame it all on my Uncle, Trevor Richerson.

(Travis)What else do you do besides MX?

(Alec) I trail ride, and practice on my home track. Oh and go to school.

(Travis) What's your favorite track?(you don't have
to say D Track).

(Alec) D Track.

(Travis) What are your plans for next season?

(Alec) I'm planning on moving up to the A class and racing the series at D Track.

(Travis) What can you tell us about yourself that most
people might not know?

(Alec) I have only riden for 3 years

(Travis) I know we have seen a huge improvement from the first time we saw you race here. You picked it up very quickly.
