(T.D.) What school do you go to and what grade are you in?
(Nick) I go to Barret TMS and I am in sixth grade.
(T.D.) Do you have a favorite subject?
(Nick) my favorite subject is science because I like to use chemicals.
(T.D.) Wow,.. don't try to blow anything up o.k.? You've been gaining speed since you started
racing with us. Do you practice a lot?
(Nick) Well I try to practice every Saturday or Sunday so I can move to the 65 10-11 class.
(T.D.) How long have you been racing?
(Nick) I have almost finished racing for one year at D-Track
(T.D.)
How did you get started ? Do
you remember first getting on a motorcycle?
(Nick) My Dad bought me a Honda Z50. I remember getting on it in a schools football field across the street to my house,
I didn’t have any problems.
(T.D.) Tell us about your first race.
(Nick) My
first race was at Broadbent Arena. I was racing Arenacross and I came into second to last.
(T.D.) What's your most memorable racing moment so far?
(Nick) I really can’t remember I’ve just been to
concentrated on getting better and better. But the only thing I remember most is just getting my first trophy ever for motocross
and that was at D-Track.
(T.D.) That is a good feeling. I almost remember what that feels like.
What do you do other than race Motocross, like other
sports or hobbies?
(Nick) I hang out with my friends and find jumps around the neighborhood for my BMX
Bike.
(T.D.) Where is your favorite track?
(Nick) I really like D-Track
and the arenacross track by far.
(T.D.) What is your favorite obstacle on an MX track?
(Nick) I love the rhythm section on the tracks because I just
got very fast through them.
(T.D.) I noticed you in the whoops last time you came out to practice. I had a feeling
you'd say that. Looking good for sure through the rythms.
Is there anything that most people might not know about
you?
(Nick) I like science but I HATE math.
(T.D.) Without
Math things just don't add up. Sorry that's a bad one, really sorry.
What do you do to prepare for racing? Do you do any training or anything like that yet?
(Nick) Well this is my first season so I just stretch. I hope
to get a trainer in the next couple years.
(T.D.) Do you have anybody to ride with when you practice?
(Nick) I have my friend Hayden Evelyn on an RM250, and my Dad
Mark Smith on an RM125.
(T.D.) What can we expect from you in the future? Do you have any goals either within
motocross or other wise?
(Nick) I hope to learn how to double by next season and I hope
to triple in the next couple of years.
(T.D.) Thanks for taking the time to let your D Track family get to know you a little
